Fighting All Cancers Together
Joanne Smith founded Fighting All Cancers Together (FACT) in 2009. Joanne was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and after her treatment she organised cancer fundraising and support awareness events, after which she received numerous letters, emails and telephone calls, saying how much people have enjoyed the events, and how useful they have been to them and asking for more, which is why she founded FACT.
Insurancewith have always been firm supporters of FACT and donate £1 for every cancer travel insurance policy sold that comes from their recommendation.
As a result of Joanne and her team’s determination and hard work FACT has grown at a steady rate helping more and more people affected by cancer, and at the end of July they will be opening their first Charity Shop in Blaydon Shopping Precinct, Newcastle. The shop will be officially opened by TV’s Agony Aunt Denise Robertson, who is also a Patron of FACT.
